about

You know WNY. Don’t pretend like you don’t. WNY has been a friend to Kikapu for nearly a decade, and has released some of our most highly-revered albums to date. You may remember him from past releases under different aliases such as Spark and Winnie the Shit. Ring a bell? That’s right…I knew you would remember.

For his latest EP release, WNY continues down his path of hardware and synth-driven electronics, skittering along the edge of true acid jams at times. Not that we’d complain if things went that far. We like our early 90′s acid house as much as anyone else. WNY kicks out the jams like no one else though, from the oft-kilter beats in 108 Suns, bubblin’ up in Venus, fast and jittery 8-bit stabs in Six and then bringing it all home with the best theme song for an as-yet-unmade video game ever in Nerve.

We also have a special treat for you with this release: six remixes from some of WNY’s best musical buddies. WNY is our teacher, and we are all humble students in his presence.
